How to build a dataset for the POC

If you are requesting a proof of concept on Leads…



  • Create a New Report in Salesforce and select the “Leads with converted lead information” Report Type option

  • Unless you only plan to build a model for a subset of your leads, adjust the filters to include all leads from all time


  • Remove all columns from the report, and add only the following columns: 

    • Lead ID

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Country

    • Company

    • State/Province

    • Phone

    • Email

    • Website

    • Title

    • Created Date

    • Opportunity Name

    • Opportunity Amount

    • Won

  • Save your report and export it as a CSV


  • Email the CSV straight to alexia@infer.com!


 


If you are requesting a proof of concept on Contacts…


For Contacts you will need to create two separate reports, one to show all the contacts, another to show the opportunities associated with those contacts.


1) All Contact Report:

  • Create a New Report in Salesforce and select the “Contacts & Accounts” Report Type option

  • Unless you only plan to build a model for a subset of your contacts, adjust the filters to include all accounts from all time


  • Remove all columns from the report, and add only the following columns: 

    • Contact ID

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Mailing Country

    • Mailing State/Province

    • Phone

    • Email

    • Website

    • Title

    • Created Date


  • Save your report and export it as a CSV







2) Contacts with Opportunities Report

  • Create a New Report in Salesforce and select the “Contacts with Opportunities” Report Type option

  • Unless you only plan to build a model for a subset of your contacts, adjust the filters to include all contacts from all time


  • Remove all columns from the report, and add only the following columns: 

    • Contact ID

    • Opportunity Name

    • Amount

    • Won


  • Save your report and export it as a CSV


3) Email your two CSV reports straight to alexia@infer.com!




If you are requesting a proof of concept on Accounts...


  • Create a New Report in Salesforce and select the “Accounts with or without Opportunities” Report Type option

  • Unless you only plan to build a model for a subset of your accounts, adjust the filters to include all accounts from all time


  • Remove all columns from the report, and add only the following columns: 

    • Account ID

    • Billing Country

    • Billing State/Province

    • Phone

    • Website

    • Created Date

    • Opportunity Name

    • Opportunity Amount

    • Won


  • Save your report and export it as a CSV
